“…When the illusion of reality that most people live in, that they think is what is really supporting them, when they go past it, it seems to be a really big transition. It is about shifting survival systems.” “This is a very significant period of time in human history. The fact that old structures have been falling apart is causing people to reframe where their source of safety and well-being is…” “You’ve gone along with men acting like this before, because you’ve had such a thick defense system. But the defense system is getting shaken up, and is no longer serving you, and therefore you are more present emotionally and vulnerably in a way you haven’t been before…” “You’re too invested in thinking you know what truth is, and grabbing the comfort of thinking you know what’s true based on what others say. You have a choice between relying on the external world to define reality for you, versus accessing your own direct experience.” “There’s a plus and minus for a man feeling he has to be the sole provider. The plus (which is not in reality) is carrying this heavy load is something he can get mastery of, something he can feel in control of, so it makes him feel powerful.” “Men can tend to lean on invulnerable logic, as if that gives them some mastery, rather than being in a place where you just allow things to be what they are — a more organic place where you are feeling things, you are experiencing things, and the black and white mastery is not so important. Being present and in the feeling, growing, learning, evolving, transforming is more of a female thing.” |
