“The only reason a person isn’t getting what they need is if they have a limiting decision blocking the channel for receiving what it is they need. That means, by definition, that no one can give it to them, because they have the channel closed. If they didn’t have the channel closed, they wouldn’t be needy. So the issue is not to keep pouring things at them, but to facilitate the opening of the channel, if they are interested in opening up the channel. If they’re not, then that’s what they’re creating.”

“Whatever is really important to you, whatever really matters to you — even if you can only get a hold of something that is based on a limiting decision and therefore somewhat off kilter — you have to start with where you are at, and follow it down to getting deeper and truer, and deeper and truer, to get some solid ground. Nothing will ever be right between the two of you if you are not on solid ground, no matter how she reacts to it. You need to start getting to a base of reality, or there’s just no hope.”
