“…So the issue is really understanding that there is a bottommost positive truth. When you explore things underneath the defense systems, that’s what you find. Most people do not believe that. That’s the problem…” “The issue here is whether trying to manipulate truth works better than truth. Following truth takes radical faith in life, in truth, in things working to the best and highest interest for everyone concerned…” “It’s not that there isn’t any meaning. It’s that the meaning we generally give things has nothing to do with what they actually are. The way I interpret what the Course is talking about is basically …” “That’s what generally happens when I’m revealing the ground a person is standing on, which is the way they form what reality is. I’m causing a reframe right at that point, which feels like I’ve pulled the ground out from under you reality.” “The truth is you can’t combat truth from overwhelming you. It’s supposed to overwhelm you because it’s supposed to transform you. It’s not a bad thing. It’s a good thing. It frees you.” “And as you are standing in the truth of what the situation is and what really needs to be done, the more you will be listened to. And then your job is to help guide your child to be connected to reality and truth as well, so that they, also, can see what needs to be done and so they’re not just being told what to do by a parent authority.” “Every time you make a limiting decision, it obscures consciousness. It obscures your connection to reality, to the Divine. And then when you clear the limiting decision, it removes the obstacle. So as you remove the limiting decisions, experience becomes more and more transparent until there are no limiting decisions left, and you are totally clear.” “What we’re creating in this group, is pushing you through your defense systems. So we’re pushing Aaron out of his defense system, where he can experience the truth when he is not defended. That’s very transformational. What is happening now (for Aaron), is that you feel that the only way you are acceptable is if you are perfect. Well this group is representing to you a completely different reality, that this being ‘perfect’ is what is unacceptable, because it is not real. And that when you reveal where you really are, that’s what draws people close to you. So the group represents a different reality, and as we push people out of the defense structures, that can shift your experience of reality. That’s the point.” “The money is a measure of how much you’re worth. But the idea of putting a dollar value on it is upsetting to you, as if you are putting a dollar value on your intrinsic worth as a person. It looks to me that the limiting decision is that you’re not valuable, and this comes out when the idea comes up of someone paying you for the work you do. If you felt totally valuable as a person, then you wouldn’t confuse your value with asking for a dollar amount for the work you are contributing.” Excerpt of Jane’s Teaching during the TimeLine process: “Each of these people (your mother, two brothers and you) in this scenario are on their own particular path, for their own particular learning. Your mother had two mentally disabled sons and one who is brilliant, giving her a whole range, for some particular reason, and opportunities for her to learn. And that might not fit her idea of how things should be that would feel in control for her. But being in control evidently was not what she really needed. You were evaluating this from your mother’s response. But there’s a larger frame-of-reference here that is for the benefit of all concerned, which you couldn’t see, being right in the midst of it. |
