(To Nancy) “In terms of your life, you are the definer of reality. There’s nothing else. You have a very, very specific, and very strong sense of reality that you are second guessing all of the time; and trying, instead, to mollify other people. And for some it’s not such a problem. Some people can be untrue to themselves more easily than you can. For people like you, the sense of who they are is so strong, and it is so unique, that it’s just too incongruent to do that. So you’re dancing around this thing, not realizing that there’s just no choice. You have to be you. And I promise you, it will work out. If you stick with who you are, life will reconfigure itself around YOU, and work for you. And the world around you will work, because this is reality. There is no other reality.”
