(To Nancy after she described being in a networking meeting, with many mainstream business people, and how she described her massage practice and talked about energy and auras and visions. And a few people there said they thought what she said was inappropriate and that she should know her audience and take that into account in the way she presents herself.)

“It seems to me that even though these people were saying these things, they were still connecting with you, but just presenting their own perception of reality. The way people really cause a disconnection is by not saying what’s really going on from their point-of-view, or by attacking — there’s lots of ways to disconnect. Or sometimes they simply don’t acknowledging what the other person is saying at all. But once you acknowledge what the other person is saying, reveal your response to it, whether you disagree or agree, you’ve made a connection — which is what happened in that meeting, because they were acknowledging what you were saying, from their own reality. That’s what makes the connection, whether they agree or not.

What I see that you’re doing is participating in an evolutionary process. And you are doing that in a very true and real way, by coming into a more mainstream kind of business meeting with yourself, with your particular perspective, and just being there openly with that. And you’re having an impact. You’re representing a different reality. And you’re doing it in such a natural and real way, that it’s just sliding in there, and you’re shifting people’s experience of what’s real. And they’re letting you do it. In past eras, people could be killed for doing that. And you just got a few mildly negative comments.”
